On May 9, Hyosung TNC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Yoo So-ra, obtained the Presidential Citation at the ‘13th Marine Arbor Day Commemoration Ceremony’ held at Hansan Daecheop (Battle) Square in Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.
Held on May 10 every year,‘Marine Arbor Day’ is a legal commemorative day for the marine sector established in 2012. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has driven marine habitat creation in coastal areas since 2009, and at the commemorative ceremony, a marine algae transplant ceremony is held and government awards presented to those who have contributed to marine ecosystem restoration.
Managing Director Yoo So-ra, a key figure in Hyosung TNC’s ESG management, has earned high praise for participating in the public-private collaborative marine habitat creation project, and for persistently promoting resource circulation projects that have developed and utilized waste fishing net recycling technology with tangible results.
In particular, this award holds significance as an official recognition on a national scale of Hyosung TNC’s contribution to marine ecosystem conservation and implementation of national policies through its activities in practicing ESG management that have been substantively evaluated in the public sector.
Hyosung Group, including Hyosung TNC, has been carrying out various sustainable management activities, such as creating marine habitats capable of superior carbon absorption, to contribute to marine ecosystem conservation and achievement of carbon neutrality.
