Hyosung Heavy Industries showcased cutting-edge power solutions at the largest power industry exhibition in India, receiving accolades from many local customers.
Hyosung Heavy Industries announced that it participated in ‘ELECRAMA 2025’ held in New Delhi, India from the 22nd to the 26th.
‘ELECRAMA 2025’, an international power industry exhibition held every two years, is a large-scale event that draws roughly 1,000 participating companies and over 400,000 visitors.
Hyosung Heavy Industries showcased its latest power technologies and products at this exhibition under the theme of “Your trustworthy partner ushering in energy transition era to ensure grid stability,” garnering accolades from local customers.
Key products on display included ▲SF6 Free GIS (gas insulated switchgear) that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and enhances high-performance insulation technology ▲Mobile substations that facilitate prompt response to emergencies with rapid installation and portability ▲STATCOM (static synchronous compensator) that supports stable power supply to renewable energy generation, data centers, etc. ▲HVDC (high- voltage direct current system), a future power grid-based core technology that enables efficient long-distance, large-capacity power transmission.
Hyosung Heavy Industries CEO Tae-hee Woo said, “India is one of the fastest-growing power markets in the world,” and added “Hyosung Heavy Industries will further solidify our leading market position in India by presenting proprietary innovative power solutions showcased at this exhibition.”
Meanwhile, recognizing the power equipment market potential in India early on, Hyosung Heavy Industries has continuously targeted the market and proceeded to establish a branch in New Delhi in 2007 and completed a GIS production plant in Pune, central-western India, in 2015. Hyosung Heavy Industries ranks first in the Indian GIS market with a market share of over 50%, and captured a dominant market share of over 95% in the ultra-high voltage GIS sector of 800 kV or higher. As of 2024, its Indian subsidiary's sales growth increased to more than double from the previous year, establishing it as a key power company in the Indian market.
