We will strive to enhance our best to enhance our customer’s values
with our technologies that meet global standards.

Following the establishment of Korea’s first private technology research institute in 1971, Hyosung
gave birth to five of the world’s top-ranking products and countless first-class items and brands,
positioning itself as an enterprise that creates the life culture of humanity
in all areas, including
textile, industrial materials, chemicals, heavy industry, and information and communication.
With distinguished technical capabilities, experience in and passion for research and development,
Hyosung will remain dedicated as the pioneer of technological advancement for
a better future for humanity.

“A cradle of cutting-edge technology leading the global market."

The steel wire technical center, founded in 1986 to develop technology and products of tire reinforcement materials (steel cord, Bead wire), has grown into a specialized research institute for steel wire materials based on its accumulated research and technology and has recently developed wafer cutting wires used in new renewable energy (photovoltaic energy) and IT industries (semiconductor, LED).

The Center relocated its building in May 2007 to further reinforce its basic technologies and core capabilities. It remains committed to reaching the goal of "global excellence" by creating a legacy of achievement through endless challenges, including the establishment of technical centers abroad.

While establishing a stable infrastructure by securing research facilities and highly skilled personnel, the Steel Wire Technical Center endeavors to equip the basic technology on new businesses that will become the motors for the world’s best technologies and future growth, which will lead customers to recognize their capabilities.
