On the 18th, ahead of People with Disabilities’ Day (set for the 20th), Hyosung Advanced Materials visited ‘Youngrak Ania’s House’, a nursing home center for children with severe disabilities in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and actively engaged in volunteerism at a sports event and delivered donations.

This event was designed as a program for executives and employees of Hyosung Advanced Materials, including CEO Yong-soo Cho, to participate and meaningfully connect with children with disabilities. The donation funds will be used to purchase inner seats for wheelchairs, a rehabilitation device needed for people with severe brain lesions and disabilities and to improve run-down living environments.

CEO Yong-soo Cho of Hyosung Advanced Materials said, “We will continue to provide continuous interest and support so that the donation recipients can enjoy a happier life with dignity as valuable members of society.”

Hyosung Advanced Materials has been fostering long-standing mutual ties with Youngrak Anyia's house since 2012. With executives and employees’ participation, they have directly contributed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities by staging walkathons, fun outings and events such as People with Disabilities’ Day. In addition, we are continuously spearheading customized sponsorships, such as providing rehabilitation equipment for people with severe brain lesions and improving the living space environment for the disabled.

In recognition of its perpetual support, Hyosung Advanced Materials has been selected as a company celebrated for its community-based social contribution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Council for Social Welfare for five straight years since 2019. Last year, it was honored with the Seoul Metropolitan City Council Chairman’s Award at the ‘2023 Seoul Social Contribution Contest’.
