Hyosung Holds “Rice of Love” Delivery Ceremony for Vulnerable Residents of Mapo-gu
On the 11th, Hyosung held a “Rice of Love” delivery ceremony at the Mapo-gu Office to support vulnerable residents in the area.
On the day, Hyosung delivered 500 20-kg bags of rice to the Mapo-gu Office, which plans to distribute it to neighbors in need in the community. The rice was purchased from the Gunbuk Agricultural Cooperative in Haman-gun, South Gyeongsang Province, helping local farms secure a stable sales channel as well.
To promote mutually beneficial growth with the Mapo-gu community, where its headquarters is located, Hyosung has continued its “Rice of Love” donations twice a year since 2006. Rather than limiting its support to one-off gestures, the company has pursued steady giving activities designed to provide practical help to the community.
Hyosung also continues a wide range of social contribution activities for vulnerable residents of Mapo-gu, including “Kimchi of Love,” “Side Dishes of Love,” “Daily Necessities of Love,” and “Meals for Seniors.” Employees also give back throughout the community, regularly supporting outdoor activities for children at Seoul Bethany Daycare Center and Seoul Jeongmun School, both specializing in children with disabilities, and taking part in “Blood Donation of Love.”
