Nautilus Hyosung, advances the ‘Smart Banking Age’

    Nautilus Hyosung, Hyosung‘s finance IT subsidiary, is leading the age of full-scale smart banking, applying a self-banking solution to the ‘digital kiosk (unmanned smart bank)’ opened recently by Shinhan Bank.

    The ‘digital kiosk’ with the ‘self-banking solution’ of Nautilus Hyosung applied was a product developed jointly with Shinhan Bank from the initial stage of development. As an unmanned smart bank with no dedicated teller, this can handle a total of 107 transactions including new account opening and issuance of bankbooks, various cards and certificates, which amount to 90% of the works handled by bank tellers.

    Customers using the ‘self-banking solution’ can use such bank services as getting advices from specialized tellers of a bank, opening a new account or card issuing, through video consulting and even safer authentication is possible through palm authentication to which vein recognition technology was applied for the first time in Korea. In particular, being an unmanned service, this can be used regardless of the conventional bank hours.

    For banks, this enables them to concentrate on customer services at bank windows by automating simple and repeating teller works, and have the effect of opening new branches in a small scale and low cost.
