On April 17, the Industrial Machinery PU signed an agreement on testing and certification with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation to obtain IECEx and ATEX certificates on 25 motor types (18 low pressure motors and 7 high pressure motors). If it obtains the two certificates on all types of low pressure motors and the 7 high pressure motors, it is expected to establish a level playing field to compete with global companies in the overseas explosion-proof motor market which requires tough market entry standards including certification.
