Nautilus Hyosung obtained the CEN (Comité European de Normalisation) Ⅲ certificate for its ATM products for the first time in Asia. The CEN Ⅲ certificate is the highest level of certificate on safety security, validating the intensity of the safety and strength of the locking devices inside ATM machines. It is a prerequisite to export ATM machines to financial institutes in EU membership countries. Recently, as more and more financial institutes around the world, including in Latin America and Southeast Asia, along with Europe, are stressing the importance of security, a growing number of overseas financial institutes are seeking to obtain CEN certification. Nautilus Hyosung passed the level Ⅲ test this year, following its acquirement of the CEN level 1 certificate last year.
In order to have qualification for CEN certificate, a series of tests for safety are applied using strong physical shocks, including with a hammer, chisel, electric drill, oxygen cutting tool and explosives. In particular, Nautilus Hyosung proved its product safety and security by passing the strict test of the renowned VDS in Germany, which wins trust from the European financial institute due to its rigorous evaluation. Building on this momentum, Nautilus Hyosung plans to make inroads into the west European market.
