Packaging PU Hosts Kick-Off Ceremony to Announce Innovative TPM Program Implementation

2010.10.05
Aims at Building No. 1 Production Facilities with Global Competitiveness

Packaging PU’s Daejeon, Jincheon and Gwanghyewon Plants announced that they decided to introduce and implement the innovative TPM (total production management) program to help overcome the challenges in their current management environment and to ensure greater competitiveness during production. On October 5th, a number of Hyosung employees including the Packaging PU president, Jung Sang-hyeon, the company director and innovation program supervision and implementation committee president, Han Gi-man and the KMAC vice president, Park Sang-don gathered together for a kick-off affair at the plants to announce their determination for the TPM implementation. The new initiative is in line with the company’s vision of creating the world’s No. 1 company in global production competitiveness and ensuring transformation in workers, facilities, products and standards.

Members of each plant’s TPM innovation team literally wielded an ax at the defective PET bottle upon which a phrase “Hazard, Defects, Failure” was marked. The eye-popping ritual was followed by the reading of an innovation pledge to officially announce the company’s TPM program launch and to boost overall courage, trust and confidence among the workers.
