Hyosung TNC has started making forays into the global eco-friendly textile market by introducing a variety of black products using the trademark creora®, the world′s No.1 spandex brand.

□ Making forays into the global eco-friendly textile market with ″creora® bio-based black″ and ″creora® regen black″

Hyosung TNC said on April 10 that it introduced to the market △″creora® bio-based spandex black″ and ″creora® regen black″, which are black versions of creora® bio-based spandex and creora® regen (recycled spandex), respectively.

This is a step taken to cope proactively with customers′ demand through the development of black spandex, which can omit the dyeing process in response to the demand for eco-friendly materials in the manufacturing process.

Creora® bio-based spandex black is bio spandex made of corn extracts. Hyosung TNC has become the world′s first business to make such bio spandex and acquired from SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) the Eco Product Mark, which is given to products △ made with eco-friendly raw materials △ not harmful to the body and △ made in an eco-friendly way through ESG management.

Creora® regen black is recycled spandex using only industrial waste. Creora® bio-based spandex∙regen black has the following merits: their black color looks darker and classier than ordinary spandex, and they do not require a separate dyeing process, which means saving of water.

They also boast of good elasticity and resilience just like Hyosung′s other spandex goods, so they are applicable to all sectors including sports/Athleisure wear, lingerie, etc.

Hyosung TNC introduced creora® bio-based spandex black and creora® regen black to the Functional Fabric Fair (FFF) held in Portland, Oregon, US on April 4 and 5.

FFF is the world′s most prestigious expo specializing in functional textiles. At the event, sustainable and eco-friendly goods like recycled and biodegradable textiles as well as functional textiles have become the focus of attention.

Hyosung′s creora® bio-based spandex black (bio spandex) and Spandex creora® regen black (recycled spandex) captured global buyers′ attention for their sustainability and functionality.
