A Purme-sponsored mini concert was held on December 13 at the Purme Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul with the support provided by HYOSUNG.
The annual mini concert, which was first held in 2015, is intended to give disabled children, ordinary young people, and locals an opportunity to see a disabled people’s performance and improve the way people view disabled people. This year’s concert was held with 100-plus disabled children, ordinary young people, and locals invited.
This year’s event included a variety of programs for hands-on experience like Christmas trees/ornaments, etc. There were also food booths set up where visitors were provided with snacks such as ddeokbokki (rice cake), fishcake skewers, popcorn, etc. Noteworthy was the 18 HYOSUNG employees, who are members of The Class—which refers to a team of official Mercedes-Benz dealers—who took part in the event as volunteers.
The 2023 Purme-sponsored mini concert started with the performance of the team of cheerleaders of the Welfare Center for the Disabled in Cheoin-gu, Yongin-shi named Dream Jump Cheer Up. It was followed by a chorus by Eoulnuri Choir of the Seoul Municipal Welfare Center for Those with Development Disorders. Next was the performance by children of Jongno Aizone—which is a facility (location: 2F, Purme Center) providing support for the mental health of young people suffering from development disorders—and their families. The event also featured the following performances by those suffering from development disorders: song number by vocalist EOM Jiyeon, LEE Inhyeok’s harmonica performance, performance by flute quartet, etc.
On the occasion of the year-end, HYOSUNG is holding one program after another designed to share with others. For instance, the Hyosung Social Work Volunteers is scheduled to carry out its periodic program of voluntary activities for those at facilities for disabled children on December 20.
