Hyosung employees volunteer to clean Seoul National Cemetery on the occasion of Armed Forces Day
Hyosung affiliates’ employees volunteered to clean the Seoul National Cemetery on September 13 on the occasion of the forthcoming Armed Forces Day.
More than ten employees from Hyosung Corporation, Hyosung TNC, Hyosung Heavy Industry, Hyosung Advanced Materials, Hyosung Chemical, etc. paid homage in front of the Memorial Tower first, washed the tombstones clean, placed the national flag in the graveyard, and donated flowers to the deceased.
Hyosung employees have engaged in such voluntary activity twice a year based on the sisterhood ties agreement signed with the Seoul National Cemetery in 2014.
Hyosung Chairman CHO Hyun-joon has said that it is important to remember the spirit of sacrifice kept by those who devoted themselves to the protection of the country and pass such spirit to future generations.
Hyosung has provided financial support for a program of providing new homes to war veterans since 2012 as part of its social contribution activities, and it also provides a welfare support fund to servicemen in the ROK Army’s Gwanggaeto Unit, with which the Company maintains sisterhood ties.
