Hyosung′s support provided for the creative activities of disabled artists in the center, which belongs to the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC). The center was previously called the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture′s Jamil Creator Studio.

LEE Jeongwon, Chief of the Hyosung Office of Communication, paid a visit to the Seoul Arts Creation Center for the Disabled in Hyehwa-dong, Seoul on April 19. President LEE Changgi of SFAC was present at the occasion.

Said support fund is to be used to help six artists (SONG Sangwon, KIM Jinju, PARK Yuseok, CHOI Seoeun, Laumkon, and YU Dayeong) engaging in creative work at the center.

Under said program, the artists working at said center are to receive the following support: material expenses, opportunities for special exhibitions, and arrangement for matching with experts designed to upgrade their capabilities. This year, open studios for them were provided for their more active communication with the public interested in art. The center also plans to present awards to those selected through open competitions.

Since 2018, Hyosung has provided such support, designed to encourage artists′ creative activities. In 2020, the Group was selected by the City of Seoul as an exemplary business in the field of cooperation between the public/private sectors in recognition of its activities.

″We would like to build a society where more people can access culture/arts and share the happiness obtained from such activities through businesses′ generous support for culture/art,″ Hyosung Chairman CHO Hyun-joon said, commenting on the matter.

Hyosung has engaged in social contribution activities in the culture/art sectors including support provided to produce barrier-free films for the visually/hearing-impaired and for the Onnuri Sarang Chamber Orchestra composed of those with intellectual disability.
