On the Day of People with Disabilities (April 20), Hyosung Advanced Materials paid a visit to Yeongrak Ania Center, which is a recuperation facility for severely disabled children, engaged in voluntary activities, and delivered a support fund.

The volunteers felt good that they could resume the face-to-face voluntary activities at Yeongrak Ania Center after having to stop them for three years due to COVID-19. The support fund provided will be used to renovate dilapidated facilities at the center, which houses 30 disabled children taken care of by 40-plus people.

″I hope that many of those in the community will continue to pay attention to and provide support for disabled children so that they will feel that they are part of the community. We at Hyosung will continue to do what we can to help the children with rehabilitation and self-reliance,″ said Hyosung Vice Chair CHO Hyun-sang, who serves as Head of Hyosung Social Work Volunteers.

Employees of Hyosung Advanced Materials have engaged in voluntary activities for the children at said center since 2012. The Company has been selected as a business setting an example in contribution to the local community by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare for four years in a row since 2019 in recognition of such voluntary activities.
