Hyosung Advanced Materials, Hyosung TNC get "BBB" grade in MSCI ESG Ratings

    This year, Hyosung Advanced Materials, Hyosung TNC got a ″BBB″ grade in the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Ratings. Said grade refers to a grade enhanced from ″BB″ that they got last year, and it means that their continued ESG efforts have been recognized.


    The MSCI ESG Ratings have been developed for the establishment and management of adequate investment portfolio and are regarded as a leading global index of ESG activities, serving as benchmark for global investment companies. The ratings have been announced since 1999 concerning listed businesses all over the world.


    The efforts made by Hyosung Advanced Materials concerning its carbon management have been recognized through the low GHG emissions compared to those made by other businesses in the same sector. The Company got a ″B″ in its first ratings in 2019, a ″BB″ in 2020, and a ″BBB″ in 2021. As for Hyosung TNC, it got a ″BBB″ in 2021 after a ″BB″ for two years, which shows that its efforts for carbon reduction have been recognized. The ″BBB″ grade obtained by the two Hyosung affiliates is an upper level among the grades obtained by global businesses using chemical materials as raw materials.
