Hyosung ITX, an IT specialized subsidiary of Hyosung participated in the 10th International Cyber Security Conference (ISEC 2016) held from 30th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul and there introduced the next generation security solution ‘Tanium’ for the first time to Korea.
Hyosung ITX made the official partnership with Tanium Inc. the No.1 startup in security business chosen by US Forbes, in November of the last year for security solution sales and SI business in Korea, and is promoting the security solution system integration (SI) business for customers in each field such as public institutions or financial institutions.
The strongest advantage of the Tanium solution is to detect the whole assets connected to the in-house network within 15 seconds and take immediate actions to reduce the security risk after collecting system change information such as connection of unauthorized device or installation of unauthorized application.
Security solutions so far can trace whether or not security is being attacked only based on the past data and, thus, have the disadvantage of drastic slow down according as the customer's system size grows. In the end, as threats like hacking cannot be recognized at the time of attack, reasons can be known only after the service is halted and restoration takes enormous time and expense.
By contrast, Tanium can always maintain the same speed and performance on the basis of its patented technology, regardless of whether or not the IT asset size is expanded.
In particular, the Tanium solution is also effective in the cost side because 1 server can control hundreds of thousands IT infrastructure. In reality, a US corporation introduced the Tanium solution and uses 1 server to control about 8 hundred thousand IT assets.
Besides, being currently used by more than half of the Fortune 100 Best Companies, such as Citi Bank, Bank of America and Wall Mart, and purchased by main military and intelligence agencies including US Department of Defense, Tanium is growing rapidly recording more than 200% sales growth each year.

On the other hand, ‘ISEC 2016’ is an international cyber security conference, top scale in Asia, held jointly by the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning, Ministry of Government Administration & Home Affairs and Korea Communications Commission and attended by the chief information security officers (CISO) and security workers of about 50 Korean and foreign companies. It is anticipated to be a place to share information for strengthening cyber security of nations and companies and discuss over new plans for security innovation.
