Hyosung, 1 Company- 1 Grave Section Activity for each workplace in the Month of Patriotism and Memorial

Hyosung announced on June 4th that the company did the 1 Company- 1 Grave Section Cleaning in the Seoul National Cemetery located in Dongjak-gu, Seoul as an event for the ‘June, Month of Patriotism and Memorial’.

Executives and staffs who work in the Seoul Metropolitan area and the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps visited Seoul National Cemetery and did grave cleaning activities, such as gravestone cleaning and weeds removal, on the grave section 9 where a total of 627 soldiers and policemen who were killed in action or in the line of duty are buried. Through the activities of this day, Hyosung employees praised the sublime sacrifices of these patriots and recalled their love for Nation.

Director of the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps Jang Hyeong-ok who participated in the event said, “We are regularly doing the 1 Company- 1 Grave Section Cleaning for each workplace to cultivate patriotism of executives and staffs,” and “We will do our best as a company contributing to patriotism and memorial.”

On the same day, Hyosung’s Chungcheong area workplaces visited Daejon National Cemetery and did fixing national flags and grave cleaning on section 403 assigned to them. On the past May 29th, the Daegu-Kyungbuk area workplaces visited Youngchon National Cemetery and did the 1 Company- 1 Grave Section Cleaning on section 18 where Vietnam veterans are buried.

In the meantime, Hyosung made the 1 Company- 1 Grave Section Cleaning Agreement with national cemeteries near workplaces in 2014 as a part of the company level social contribution activities and since then, top managements such as Vice Chairman Lee Sangwoon, President Cho Hyun-joon, Vice President Cho Hyun-sang and executives and staffs have regularly been doing floral tribute and grave cleaning. Also, sponsoring the ‘Patriots Home’ program for 4 years to improve the residential environment of war veterans, the company is trying not to forget those patriotic heroes who defended Republic of Korea.
