Hyosung, donated 100 million Won to support the disabled children and youths 'Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra'

Hyosung announced on 25th that the company would donate 100 million Won for a year to support the ‘Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra’ comprised of 80 children and youths with developmental disorder or intellectual disability.

Since 2014, Hyosung has supported purchasing expense of instruments necessary for the orchestra activity, operation expenses of concerts and music camps, purchasing expense of the Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra dresses and scholarship fund for members. Support to the Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra was discovered and suggested by Mr. Cho Hyun-sang himself, Leader of the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps (vice president), who has continuously supported cultural and artistic activities for self-reliance of the vulnerable social group, and Vice President Cho participated in rehearsals and spent meaningful time with the disabled children and youths.

Vice President Cho said, “I hope that the Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra will communicate actively with the public through musical activities,” and “Hyosung will try to be the art & culture supporting company representing Korea through continuous supports to various cultural and artistic activities for the disabled”.

The Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra founded in May of 1999 is actively doing performances not only in domestic stages but also in the abroad tour concerts. In the past May, the orchestra had a concert under the title of 'Sevit Serenade' on the Some Sevit outdoor stage (Some Yrvit) located at the Han River Park in Banpo.

On the other hand, together with ‘Yoyoma and Silk Road Ensemble’, Hyosung has given 'Teaching Class' for adolescents from multi-cultural families and disabled children since 2010 to present hope to young musical talents. Also, the company takes a lead in supporting cultural and artistic activities such as supporting ‘Corporation Ariin’ making musicals to prevent school violence and the Daehak-ro drama theater ‘Yeonwoo’.
