Hyosung, held sharing events on the occasion of Chuseok including songpyeon making

    With the nation’s biggest traditional holiday Chseok ahead, employees of Hyosung’s Industrial Materials PG (Performance Group) visited two senior citizen centers on 24th to hold the Chuseok sharing events.

    Hyosung’s employees who visited senior citizen centers located in Seocho-gu, Seoul presented joy to the elderly of the senior citizen centers by doing traditional plays including Tuho (arrow pitching) as well as songpyeon making together with them. This sharing event was prepared due to the relationship of the Industrial Materials PG with the Seocho-gu Central Welfare Center for Senior Citizens which the Industrial Materials PG has regularly been doing cleaning volunteer activity since 2012 for the welfare of the elderly.

    Mr. Cho Hyun-sang, Head of Industrial Materials PG (vice president) said, “Hyosung prepared the event of Time with Hyosung’s Employees so that those senior citizens can enjoy the traditional day with much more support and warmth than previously,” and “we will keep doing such activities as can support and be practically helpful for those who need help and compassion.”

    On the other hand, Hyosung’s Industrial Materials PG has been doing the meal helper activity in each month since 2012 at the nursing facility for the severely disabled, ‘Yeongnak Aenea’s Home, located in Huam-dong, Yonsan-gu, Seoul, and has also provided them with chances of cultural and physical activities by holding various cultural events such as ‘Visiting Classic Concert’ and ‘Get-together Athletic Event’.

    Not only the Industrial Materials PG, but also Hyosung at the whole company level had the activity of sharing necessaries with the vulnerable social group living in Mapo-gu on 14th as a Chuseok event, and such regional workplaces as Changwon Plant and Ulsan Plant will actively have helping neighbors events on the occasion of Chuseok including delivering Chuseok ritual goods and gifts to the vulnerable social group living in each region.
