Hyosung’s employees from the Hyosung Head Office and the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps will visit the Seoul National Cemetery located at Dongjak-gu, Seoul and pay tribute to the Memorial Tower to recall the noble sacrifices of those patriots who gave up their lives for country and reflect their patriotism. Also, they will visit cemetery Section 9 which is under sisterhood relationship agreement with Hyosung, to do such cleaning activities as tombstone cleaning, weed removal and flower offering. Cemetery Section 9 is where a total of 627 bodies are buried including soldiers and policemen killed or deceased in action.
On the same day, employees from the Hyosung’s Chungcheong area workplaces (Sejong, Oksan and Daejon plants) will visit the Daejon National Cemetery located in Yoosung-gu to do the 1 company - 1 cemetery section cleaning at the cemetery Section 403 which is under the sisterhood relationship with Hyosung and bodies of officers and soldiers are buried in.
In the meantime, Hyosung made the agreement in 2014 on the 1 company - 1 cemetery section cleaning with national cemeteries located near workplaces, and since then the top management including Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon, President Cho Hyun-joon and Vice President Cho Hyun-sang and employees have regularly been doing flower offering and cemetery cleaning. Also, on the past 9th, the Company had an agreement signing ceremony, with the First Corps of Army, on sponsoring the War Heroes Memorial Park forming program within the Unification Park in Paju, and has sponsored the ‘Patriots Home’ program which improves residential environment of war veterans for 4 years. As can be seen from these activities, Hyosung tries not to forget the hardship of those soldiers who showed noble spirit of sacrifice for the country.
