Hyosung, the front runner of the global spandex market with its brand creora®, participated in INDEXTM 17, the largest non-woven fabric exhibit in the world, held from April 4th to 7th and Geneva Switzerland.
During the event, Hyosung focused on promoting its highly-elastic and anti-heat performing creora® Power Fit and sanitary (for diapers) spandex creora® Comfort. Power fit is specialized to meet the demand of customers who expects power in their products, and Comfort is specialized for diapers with great elasticity, comfortability and feel of wear.
Hyosung also displayed and demonstrated OETO (Over End Take Off), developed from original technology during the event to advertise the sophisticated technology of Hyosung. OETO feeds spandex yarn to diapers, and allows users to change yarns without disturbing the diaper production process which leads to a 15 – 20% cost reduction.
As of 2016, the global diaper market, including infants and adults, is around 54.5 Billion USD (6 trillion KRW), and with an annual growth of 8%, the market is expected to expand up to 80 billion USD in 2021. Asia, having China as a major player is leading the growth of the diaper market, and benefiting from the growing silver industry, the increased demand of adult diapers concludes increased demand of spandex for diapers.
Hyosung is planning to attend global exhibits such as this INDEXTM event and CIPDEX (China International Disposable Paper Expo) to have regular meetings with customers and secure creora®’s position in the global diaper spandex market.
INDEXTM is the largest non-woven warn exhibit in the world held every three years circuiting America (IDEA), Europe (INDEX) and Asia (ANEX). Over 590 sanitary product companies and 12,500 spectators participated in this year’s event.
