On 30th, Hyosung held the fund donation ceremony to the ‘Com-Bridge’ program and the facility renovation program at the Eden Welfare Foundation located in Paju which is a social company to create jobs for the severely disabled.
‘Com-Bridge’ program hires and provides jobs to the disabled for collecting disused or sold computing equipment such as computers, monitors and printers and disassembling those to parts for recycle.
Hyosung sponsored the Com-Bridge program for the first time as a domestic company, and donated 1,358 equipment in 2014, 1,847 equipment in 2016, and will donate nearly 2,000 equipment this year.
Also, Hyosung will donate 40 million won for renovating the worn-out facilities of the Eden Welfare Foundation workplace where about 90 disabled are working. The facility renovation fund will be used for exchanging old facilities including bag makers used to produce the volume-rate garbage disposal bags, to improve the working condition and make safe workplace environment for the disabled.
In the meantime, under the mission to become a ‘Company helping the beneficiary develop their future by themselves though education and sharing’, Hyosung is doing various activities for the social groups in need of help, including establishing ‘Goodwill Store No.1’, a social company creating jobs for the disabled, in September 2013 for the first time as a domestic company.
