Hyosung announced on 27th that the company did the 1 company-1 grave section cleaning at the Seoul National Cemetery located in Dongjak-gu, Seoul with June the ‘Memorial Month’ ahead.
In the afternoon of 25th, employees of the Strategic Headquarters working at the head office and the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps went to the Seoul National Cemetery to visit the grave section 9 which is in sisterhood relationship with Hyosung. Grave section 9 is the place where a total of 627 soldiers and police officers who were killed in action or died in the line of duty are buried, and the Hyosung employees did such cleaning activities as offering flowers, wiping gravestones and removing weeds, and reflected patriotism remembering the noble spirit of the patriots who gave their lives to the Country.
Hyosung employees of the Coongcheong area (from Sejong, Oksan and Daejon Plant) also visited Daejon National Cemetery on 26th to do the 1 company-1 grave section cleaning, and the Gumi Plant employees will also visit the Yeongcheon National Cemetery on 30th to do the cleaning.
Mr. Cho Hyun-joon Director of Hyosung Strategic Headquarters (president) said, “Hyosung inherited the spirit of foundation of the late Chairman Cho Hong-je to contribute to the Nation through industrialization and is constantly doing memorial activities,” and “we are regularly doing the 1 company-1 grave section cleaning every year, by each workplace, to make a return for the noble sacrifices of the patriots who gave their lives to the country and encourage patriotism of our employees.”
In the meantime, Hyosung made the one-company one-grave section sisterhood agreement with national cemeteries near each workplace and, since 2014, the main management and employees have regularly been doing flowers offering and grave section cleaning. Also, in September of the last year, Hyosung made the agreement with the Army First Corps on Sponsoring Construction of Combat Heroes Memorial Park within the Unification Park in Paju City, and has sponsored the ‘Patriots Home’ program for 5 years to improve residential environment of war veterans. Hyosung is always trying to remember the hardship of soldiers who showed noble spirit pf sacrifice for the Nation.
