Hyosung supported Kimjang Kimchi of Love for wintering of the poor neighbors. On the 23rd, Hyosung delivered 1,500 boxes of ‘Kimjang Kimchi of Love’, 10 kg each, with Mapo-gu Office to the low income families living in Mapo-gu where the Hyosung Head Office is located.
Hyosung has delivered ‘Kimjang Kimchi of Love’ since 2007. This year's ‘Kimjang Kimchi of Love’ delivery which was the 10th year event was participated by 20 Hyosung employees who delivered the boxes to each family.
The expense for this sharing was paid by the money collected through ‘matching grant’ in which Company contributes the same amount as the donated money by employees. Also, the kimchi required for the sharing was purchased, as a part of supporting social enterprises, from the Traditional Food Business Division of the ‘Ulsan Joong-gu Senior Club’ which was founded to help self-reliance of the vulnerable social group elderly, 60 years or older.
In the meantime, in addition to delivery of Kimjang Kimchi of Love, Hyosung has continued such events as delivery of Rice of Love, sponsoring of Necessaries of Love and Hope Sharing Festival, every year for the Mapo-gu residents. On the 1st day of this month, Hyosung delivered 500 bags of 20 kg rice together with the Mapo-gu office at the ‘Rice of Love’ sharing event to fulfill its responsibility as a member of the Mapo-gu regional community.
