Hyosung, did improving war veterans’ residential environment on the occasion of the memorial month
On the occasion of June the ‘Memorial Month’, Hyosung held the donation ceremony to the ‘Patriots Home’ on 15th at the Army Headquarters, Gyeryongdae, Chungnam and delivered 100 million won support fund.
‘Patriots Home’ is the project that the Army Headquarters has consistently promoted since 2011 to renovate the residential environment of Korean War and Vietnam War veterans in joint cooperation of the civil, government and military. This project selects the war veterans in financial difficulty and renovates their old and worn housings for them to have more comfortable life, and Hyosung consistently sponsors this project every year since 2012 to foster patriotism of employees.
This year, Hyosung will sponsor the project together with other 10+ companies, Army and public institutions to present new home to 30 war veterans.
This day, Mr. Noh Jae-bong the Director of Hyosung Support Headquarters (vice president) who attended in the donation ceremony said, “Thanks to these heroes, we are now able to enjoy happy daily life today,” and “we hope that our gratitude, even a small amount of it, will be delivered through this sponsorship to those war veterans who devoted to the nation.”
On the other hand, Hyosung will invite 130 veterans’ family members living in Seocho-gu and hold the ‘Appreciation Party with Hyosung for the Invited Veterans’ Families of Seocho-gu’ with the South Seoul Office of Patriots & Veterans at Some Sevit in June as a part of memorial activities. Besides, Hyosung visited its sisterhood military camp the Gwanggaeto Camp of Army 1st Corps to deliver 10 million won donation and 50 soccer balls as gifts and in addition donate support fund for building a container-type reading café, and also did other various memorial activities.
