Hyosung, sharing of warm heart with Mapo-gu delivering Scholarship and Love Rice

    Hyosung announced on 15th that the company granted ‘Hope Sharing Scholarship’ to students of vulnerable social group in Mapo-gu and delivered ‘Love Rice’ to 500 families.

    Hyosung delivered 20 million Won donation to the Mapo Talent Nurturing Scholarship Foundation for such middle and high school students in need of help asas recipients of national basic livelihood, disabled and secondary poor group. Mapo Talent Nurturing Scholarship Foundation will select recipients giving priority for the disabled and particularly those who study culture and arts and, in October, will grant Hyosung’s ‘Hope Sharing Scholarship’ to a total of selected 20 students

    Also, Hyosung delivered 20 rice to 500 families of the secondary poor group including single elderly living in Mapo-gu. This rice had been purchased by donated money from executives and staffs and the same amount donated by the Company as a matching grant, and purchased from Gunbuk Agricultural Cooperative, Hanan-gun, Kyungnam to help a local agricultural village.

    Head of Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps Jang Hyeong-ok attended on the delivery ceremony and said, “Every year we purchase rice with the sincerity of executives and staffs,” and “I hope Mapo-gu residents will be able to worry less with this scholarship and rice.”

    In the meantime, while Hyosung has been donating ‘Love Rice’, since 2006, to the vulnerable social group in Mapo-gu including single elderly, the company is also doing such social contributions as ‘Love Kimchi’, ‘Sharing of Love Briquette’ and ‘Blood Donation of Love’ consistently for neighbors in difficulty.
