2015.05.19

Hyosung announced on 19th that the company had the donation ceremony of 100 million Won for the ‘Patriots Home’ program at the Army Headquarters located in City of Gyeryong, Chungnam, with Head of Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps Jang Hyeong-ok and Army Human Affairs Commander Kim Kyu-ha attended.

In this ceremony, Head of Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps Jang Hyeong-ok (Vice President) said, “With the Memorial Month ahead, we prepared a small gift to recall the sublime sacrifices of war veterans,” and “We hope this will be helpful for improving residential environment of those war veterans who are living difficult later years in spite of having contributed a lot to our nation.”

The Patriots Home program is a project that selects those war veterans with poor living conditions and improves their residential environment to help them enjoy comfortable life.

This program governed by Army Headquarters began in 2011, and Hyosung has supported it for 4 years since 2012. This year, Hyosung will provide new houses for 45 war veterans with other 10 companies, Army and local governments.

In the meantime, Hyosung is trying hard to fulfill its duty as a company contributing to rewarding patriotism; on June 25th of last year, Hyosung’s 40 top management and presidents, including Vice Chairman Lee sang-woon, President Cho Hyun-joon and Vice President Cho Hyun-sang, visited Seoul National Cemetery to do cemetery cleaning and pay respect to Memorial Tower, while making one-company one-grave section agreement with neighboring national cemeteries and regularly cleaning cemeteries as a part of social contribution activity of the whole company.
