Hyosung ITX, agreement with Yeongdungpo-gu Office for supporting self-reliant life of the disabled
A Hyosung subsidiary IT service company, Hyosung ITX announced on May 20th that the company had made agreement to promote social contributions for supporting self-reliant life of the disabled with Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and Yeongdungpo-gu Office. The signing ceremony was held in the afternoon of 19th at the Hyosung ITX head office with Representative Tak Jeong-mi (Director of Hyosung ITX) of ‘Happy Dudeurimi’ which is a standard workplace of Hyosung ITX for the disabled, Kim Young-ju National Assembly member (Chairman of Environment and Labor Committee and the National Assembly member for Yeongdungpo Gap), Cho Gil-hyung Head of Yeongdungpo-gu and 30+ related persons attended.
Hyosung ITX will make a multilateral agreement with civil organizations and industrial complex in the Yeongdungpo area to promote social contribution activities suitable for regional features. For this purpose, labor union of Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled which is in charge of employment of the disabled, Disabled Parents Meeting in Yeongdungpo and National Assembly member Kim Young-ju of New Politics Alliance for Democracy will participate, and supports will be given to raise self-reliance of the disabled in each area.
In the future, Hyosung ITX will assume the role of providing numerous experiencing opportunities to developmental disorder patients so that they may develop their various dreams and abilities, and the role of supporting the budget. Also, the company plans to promote campaign for changing people’s recognition of the disabled, and seek various programs with relevant institutions for practical welfare enhancing of the disabled, such as vocational rehabilitation service for the disabled.
Hyosung ITX’s Director Tak Jeong-mi (Representative of Happy Dudeurimi) said, “I hope this region will be a welfare community which will lead to improvement of rights and interests and practical welfare enhancing for the disabled through joint efforts with regional institutions,” and “We will continue to actively promote the sharing and win-win management to prepare basis for the self-reliance of the disabled.”
In the meantime, reflecting the active will to practice social responsibility of top management including President Cho Hyun-joon and Vice President Cho Hyun-sang, Hyosung established a job creation social company for the disabled ‘Goodwill Store Hyosung No.1’ for the first time in Korea, and is fully giving various supports to our neighbors in need of help such as donating support money to the vulnerable social group of Mapo-gu where the Hyosung head office is located.
