Hyosung, did cleaning at the national cemeteries on the occasion of Armed Forces Day

    With the October 1st ‘Armed Forces Day’ ahead, Hyosung visited the National Seoul Cemetery located in Dongjak-gu, Seoul and did the 1 company – 1 grave section cleaning. Hyosung made the sisterhood relationship agreement with national cemeteries located near its workplaces in 2014 and, since then, its employees have regularly been doing floral tribute and grave section cleaning.

    In the afternoon of 28th, more than 30 employees from the Hyosung Head Office and Department of Construction Business visited the memorial tower at the Seoul National Cemetery to remember the noble sacrifices of the patriotic martyrs, and did cleaning such as flowers offering, tombstone cleaning and weed removing at the Grave Section 9 for which the sisterhood relationship agreement was made with Hyosung. Grave Section 9 is the place where a total of 627 corpses of the soldiers and police officers who were killed in action or died in the line of duty.

    Mr. Noh Jae-bong, Director of the Sharing Volunteer Service Corps (Vice President), who joined this day’s grave section cleaning said, “Hyosung continues the patriotism memorial activity to repay for the sacrifices of the patriotic martyrs and to cultivate patriotism of employees”

    On the other hand, employees of Hyosung from the Chungcheong area workplaces (Sejong, Oksan, Daejon Plant) will visit Deajon National Cemetery on 29th to do the 1 company – 1 grave section cleaning. Hyosung is trying not to forget hardship of the patriotic martyrs who sacrificed and, as a part of it, has sponsored for 5 years in a row the ‘Patriots Home’ program for improvement of the residential environment of war veterans.
