The Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra sponsored by Hyosung had a concert under the title of ‘Sevit Serenade’ in the evening of May 23rd at the Some Sevit outdoor stage located within the Banpo Han River Park.

Starting at 7:00 pm, Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra gave high level performances of about 20 music pieces including ‘Over The Rainbow’ and ‘You Raise Me Up’ for 90 minutes. It was such a performance full of movement and sympathy that audiences responded to the beautiful performance with enthusiastic applause

Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra was founded in May of 1999 with 80+ developmental disorder and intellectually disabled children and youths. This was a commemorative performance held about 8 months after Hyosung donated 100 million Won for instrument purchase, music camp and scholarship in the past September. Seeing the concert program, a Hyosung subsidiary company The Class Hyosung supported with 28 seat limousine bus for safe transportation of members to Some Sevit.

Leader of Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps Cho Hyun-sang said, “Many citizens who visited Some Sevit were moved greatly by the performance of Onnuri Love Chamber Orchestra given at the cultural & tourism complex space, Some Sevit,” and “Hyosung will try to be the culture and art supporting company representing Korea through continuously supporting cultural and artistic activities including musical activity of the disabled.”

On the other hand, since 2010, Hyosung has given ‘Teaching Class’ with the ‘Yo Yo Ma and Silk Road Ensemble’ for multicultural family youths and disabled children to give hope to musically talented children, and supported ‘Corporation Ari-in’ which makes school violence preventive musicals, as efforts to provide chances of enjoying culture to the social group in need of help
