Hyosung uses those executives or staffs who have expertise and knowhow as Happy Talk lecturers to create good corporate culture through ‘Hyosung’s exclusive knowledge sharing’
In the evening of 19th, at the Hyosung Mapo Head Office, Hyosung Power & Industrial Systems’ foremen Kim Eui-kon (55) who was chosen as the 2014 Korean Master gave a lecture as a Happy Talk Lecturer under the title of ‘Becomes a Korean Master with relentless changes!’
In the lecture, Foremen Kim delivered his life story from a middle school graduate field laborer to the Korean master, emphasizing that endless challenges are necessary with tenacious efforts and no fear of failures to become the highest expert in one’s own field. Entering Company in 1986 and working in the industrial motor production part since then, Foremen Kim has showed endless self-improvement, and produced more than 500 sets of motor core mold and obtained 2 patents including one related to rotational fine blanking part. Last year, he was chosen as a Korean Master selected by Ministry of Labor every year.
Happy Talk began in September of 2013 as a monthly event inviting an outside expert once a month for lecturing and exchanging conversations. This Happy Talk particularly attracted attention in that a company employee was invited to share his knowledge and knowhow. As it was possible to reflect Hyosung’s own characteristics unrecognizable by outside experts and consequently to deliver more realistic knowhow of company life to company employees, this Happy Talk was more meaningful as Hyosung’s own opportunity of sharing knowledge
Hyosung employees who attended in this lecture revealed their impression as “The process he stood up at the highest position of his field by efforts only was so impressive”, “I was stimulated by his attitude to actively deliver his own knowledge and knowhow to younger followers on site”, and “This story coming from experiences of a fellow coworker was more appealing.”
On the other hand, since 2013, Hyosung has actively promoted the GWP (Great Work Place) activity in the whole company level to actively implement team level Organization Vitalization Program, activation of Two Way Communication Board in the Company, and Junior Activity which reflects opinions of young employees to company policies. For this, Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon himself declared GWP activity and top management including President Cho Hyun-joon are actively supporting activities for communication and bond of sympathy within company
