Hyosung, sisterhood relationship with Yeongcheon National Cemetery for cleaning Vietnam War veterans’ graves
Hyosung announced on 29th that the company’s 4 workplaces in the Daegu and Kyungbuk area made One-Company Cne-Grave Section Agreement with Yeongcheon National Cemetery located in City of Yeongcheon, Kyugbuk.
Agreement ceremony with Yeongcheon National Cemetery was held with attending plant managers and about 20 executives and staffs from Hyosung’s Gumi Plant which produces spandex, polyester yarn and film, Duegu Plant which does dying and processing, Daegu Sales Office and Nautilus Hyosung Gumi Plant which produces ATM. After the ceremony, grave stone cleaning voluntary service was given.
Yeongcheon National Cemetery is the only national cemetery in the Daegu and Kyungbuk area, and the section assigned to Hyosung by the One-Company One-Grave Section Agreement is Section 18 where Vietnam War veterans were buried. Active support will be given to regular environment cleaning, such as grave stone cleaning, weed removal and trash collecting, and such activities as hanging national flag or offering a piece of flower.
In June and July of last year, Hyosung had made sisterhood relationship with Seoul National Cemetery for Section 9 and with Daejon National Cemetery for Section 403, respectively, and Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Corps and top management had visited to do the grave cleaning.
In the meantime, since 2014, Hyosung has made the one-company one-grave section agreement with national cemeteries near workplaces and has been fully fulfilling its role as a company which encourages patriotism of employees and contribute to rewarding patriotism.
