Hyosung announced that the company would have a training program to visit manufacturing sites of the Nantong Hyosung transformer plant and main partners in China for 4 days from 20th to 23rd for good partners of the power and industrial systems.
Hyosung prepared this training program to make the opportunity that the partners would see the changing global market trend by experiencing directly the manufacturing site of the Chinese power and heavy electric machinery companies, and seek competitiveness improvement by benchmarking Chinese companies’ production facilities, cost control and quality control, and to prepare the chance of win-win growth through this.
According to the industry, China is the largest power market in the world and its generation capacity is expected to grow 1.7 times from 1,105GW in 2011 to 1,851GW 2020. The total power consumption in 2020 is expected to reach 7.7 thousand billion kWh. The Chinese transformer market shows growth rate of higher than 4 % in yearly average from 11.4 billion dollars in 2010 to 14.2 billion dollars in 2015, and is expected to grow by higher than 6% to reach 19 billion dollars in 2020.
The corresponding growth of Chinese heavy electric machinery makers is also noticeable. The yearly productive capacity of 特變電工 the biggest transformer maker in China is 250 thousand KVA which is world TOP 3 level. China companies are leveling up their industrial structure on the basis of huge capital and labor, and emerging as dark horses in the power market through technology improvement. Hyosung expects that partners will expand their view of the global market and be alerted for competitiveness strengthening through this training program.
The partners participating in this training are a total of 15 companies, 10 good partners chosen last year and 5 good partners chosen by the regular evaluation of the first half in this year, including Samdong Co. and Seongrim Co.
Partners will visit the Nantong Hyosung transformer plant which produces extra-high voltage transformers, Hukwang Electricity which produces ordinary transformers and Hyosung’s 5 partners in Chin, and observe main processes and site control method, and share such outstanding cases as process improvement. Also, a special lecture will be given under the title of ‘Changes in the Chinese manufacturing sites and future prospect’.
Hyosung has continuously provided its partners chances of abroad training since 2009 including the TPS (Toyota Production System) training in outstanding companies of Japan.
Hyosung’s Director of the Strategic Headquarters Cho Hyun-joon (president) said, “Hyosung and partners share the common destiny growing and making the future together,” and, “we expect the abroad site training to give the partners the chance of securing technical competitiveness, and we will never hesitate to give continuous support to the overall areas including technology and quality improvement and productivity innovation”.
In the meantime, Hyosung Power & Industrial Systems PG has a win-win growth meeting with partners in the 1st and 2nd half of each year, chooses good partners and provide incentives to them. Besides, to expand win-win growth with partners, the company is also actively participating in improving conditions for cash payment, management doctor program, and the Industrial Innovative Movement for strengthening competitiveness of the 2nd and 3rd partners.
