Hyosung is implementing measures to enhance its publicity to undergraduates, secure manpower of technology and cultivate future human resources. It is planning to embody its technology management policy with more interaction with young engineering students.
The inaugural ‘Supporting Collegiate Labs’ program is purposed to cultivate the future core manpower of Hyosung’s Technology Management by encouraging and allowing current Hyosung employees to promote Hyosung to undergraduates at their respective alumni. Senior alumnus visit and communicate with current students, to be their mentor and listen to their stories and concerns. This project is expected to plant a positive impression of Hyosung.
Hyosung will open its ‘Environmentally Friendly Idea Contest’ to collect environmentally friendly ideas related to the recent topics of climate change, global warming, the 4th industrial revolution or ideas related to Hyosung’s business. Any student enlisted to a science or an engineering program can apply with no specific formality, which encourages applicants to go to the limit of their imagination.
Applications can be submitted at the Hyosung Environmentally Friendly Idea Contest Website (http://www.hyosung-contest.co.kr) from June 12th to 30th. The contest is open to graduate and undergraduate science and engineering students, who can apply individually, or in a group no larger than three. Selected entries will be awarded with Grand Prize (1 entry, 7 million KRW), First Runner-up (1 entry, 4 million KRW) and Second Runner-up (3 entries, 2 million KRW), each honoree will be granted with waiver or additional credits for their document review if they apply for joining Hyosung.
Furthermore, Hyosung is rewarding Industrial Scholarships to graduate students majoring science or engineering to support their academic achievements and induce them to join Hyosung after graduation to become a manpower of technology. The industrial scholarship program is accompanied with technology exchange and academic-industrial cooperation lectures conducted by the Power & Industrial Systems PU R&D Center. Hyosung is planning to select outstanding graduate and undergraduate programs among science and engineering academic programs and provide ‘Development Fund for Outstanding Academic Programs’ in the second half of 2017.
