The Luxembourgian economic delegation, including Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie, which arrived in Korea on October 10, met with our company's persons concerned at the Some Sevit islands. In this meeting, around 10 members from the delegation including Etienne Schneider, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy were present. This meeting is the second one between the two parties, following the first one made when Prince Guillaume visited our HQ in Mapo in 2011. It was held to discuss measures to strengthen support and cooperation for our business in Luxembourg. Back in the first meeting in 2011, Vice President Cho Hyun-sang had asked Prince Guillaume for Europe including Luxembourg to support Korea's hosting Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. Our company acquired tire cord plants from Goodyear, a global tire maker, in Luxembourg in 2006.
"Our tire cord business is on the right track thanks to the utmost support and cooperation of the Luxembourgian government," said Vice President Cho. "We are looking forward to further reinforcing our business cooperation with Luxembourg so that we can provide optimal services to our customers." Prince Guillaume said, "We will cooperate with each other for win-win as Hyosung's expanding its global business is directly connected with the industrial development of Luxembourg."
