On November 23, Cho Hyeon-sang, chairman of Industrial Materials PG, along with Kwon Ki-su, president of Tire & Reinforcements PU and Dong Hyeon-su, president of Film PU, held a dinner party with a Chinese economic delegation headed by the vice mayor of Jiaxing City, to discuss development of consistent mutual cooperation. Chairman Cho stated in a welcoming address that, “It has been more than a decade since Hyosung established ties with Jiaxing City. The Chinese city is one of the most important production locations of Hyosung, and I would like to express my deep gratitude for the local government’s cooperation for us. I hope we can continue to grow together as reliable business partners.” In return, the Mayor expressed his gratitude, saying that, “Your company has significantly contributed to the development of our city through consistent investment and job creation, and we are grateful for the good will and consideration the company has shown for us.”
Starting with the establishment of the Spandex subsidiary in Jiaxing City, China, in 2001, Industrial Materials PG has created a series of companies in the region including Hyosung Spandex (Jiaxing) Co., Hyosung Chemical Fiber (Jiaxing) Co., Hyosung Film (Jiaxing) Co. and Hyosung International Trade (Jiaxing) Co.
