The Class Hyosung Supported Course Cars for 2012 FORMULA 1 KOREAN GRAND PRIX for Three Consecutive Years
The Class Hyosung provided Mercedes-Benz course cars for the 2012 FORMULA 1 KOREAN GRAND PRIX, which was held at the Korea International Circuit in Yeongam, Jeollanam-do between October 12th and 14th.
The Class Hyosung, which has led the differentiated premium automobile culture commensurate with the dignity of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, reaffirmed its position as a global company taking a leading role in the domestic motor sports culture by offering course cars for the Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix, one of the world’s three biggest sports events, along with the Olympic Games and the World Cup.
The vehicles provided were classified into two categories. The new CLS350 Blue EFFICIENCY which suggested the standard of a four-door coupe and the Sedan E300 Elegance featuring outstanding convenience were used as a course car and a race-control car. The Course Car Competition intends to check whether the track conditions are suitable for the race by holding the competition prior to the Formula One race, while the Race Control-Car Competition is operated in the circuit by operation supervisors. The vehicles used for the event are sold to ordinary clients after the competition ends. The customers who purchase related vehicles are offered certificates of the 2012 Formula One Korea Grand Prix issued by the competition organization committee.
