On July 31, the Tire & Industrial Reinforcement Materials PU received an appreciation plaque from Qingdao City, China. On behalf of the company, Director Cho Yong-su of the PU attended the ceremony intended for 14 domestic companies that have made inroads into the Chinese city, which was held in the Grand Ambassador Hotel, Seoul.
The offering of the plaque by Qingdao city was intended to promote stable business operations of the Qingdao Hyosung Plant and improve cooperation with the city. The ceremony was held in Korea as the new Qingdao Mayor Zhang Xinqi personally visited Korea, following the visit of a group of seven guests including the director of the Qingdao Economic Development Zone Sun Hengqin to Mapo HQ on July 16.
Since opening and operating a steel cord plant in the Chinese city in 2003, our company has used Qingdao city as a main strategic position for the steel cord business in China.
