Hyosung Received Awards for Effective GHG and Energy Target Setting Management

Hyosung won awards for its excellent greenhouse gas and energy target management in the category of industrial development at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Korea Energy Management Corporation held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul on November 23. In the group category, Lee Do-ha, plant director at Gumi Plant 1 won a citation from the Minister of Knowledge Economy, and in the individual category, Jeong Su-hyun, deputy department head of the Nylon-Polyester Fiber Performance Unit, received an official commendation from the Minister. These achievements were results of company participation in the “Energy Target Setting Pilot Project” implemented by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, and reduced CO2eq by 30,684t and energy use by 161TJ through various energy conservation efforts.
