On August 23, Power & Industrial Systems R&D Center held 2nd 2012 Hyosung Technology Innovation Forum
The Technology Innovation Forum has been held twice a year since 2011 ▲ to listen to and discuss proposals from professors concerning necessary technology of Power & Industrial Systems, ▲ establish a human network between human resources of advisory professors’ labs and the Power & Industrial Systems R&D Center, and ▲ discuss methods to promote academic-industrial collaboration between Hyosung and Universities.
The forum was attended by 37 Hyosung executives including executive director Park Seung-ryong, executive director Lee In-chan, the PG executives and team leaders, and research team director and TL, along with 13 guest speakers including professor Han Min-gu from Seoul National University and professors from the Technical Advisory Group. A total of 6 presentations were made as the forum was divided into the Innovation Session under the theme of the future of power storage systems and Hyosung’s business opportunity, and the Creation Session consisting of presentations on free themes from professors.
In the Innovation Session, presentations including ▲ Energy Storage System Market and Policy (Prof. Jang Gil-gu at Korea Univ.) ▲ Study on Application of Large-sized ESS to Power Network (Ph.D Jang Byeong-hun at KEPRI) ▲ ESS Promotion Status and Business Outlook (Dept. Head Lee Chan-jae at Samsung SDI) ▲ Current Status of Study on Hyosung’s Power Storage System and Technology Development Strategy (Deputy Dept. Head Lee Jeong-min at Hyosung), and in the Creation Session, presentations such as ▲ Power Density of Motor and Methodology to Improve Efficiency (Prof. Lee Ju at Hanyang Univ.) ▲ Trapezoid Distribution Automation Technology (Prof. Lee Seung-jae at Myongji Univ.) were offered.
