The Tire & Industrial Reinforcement Materials PU Completes Thailand JV Steel Cord Plant with SEI

On November 2, the Tire & Industrial Reinforcement Materials PU held a building completion ceremony for the Thailand JV SHST [Sumiden Hyosung Steel Cord (Thailand) Co., Ltd.] plant located in Amata of Rayong province, Thailand, together with the JV partner SEI(Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.). This ceremony was attended by approximately 130 people including the Head of Industrial Materials PG Cho Hyeon-sang, President Kwon Ki-su of the Tire & Industrial Reinforcement Materials PU, Head of Steel Wire R&D Center Hwang Jong-il, and other key executives of the company, as well as CEO Masayoshi Matsumoto of SEI, Thai government official Mr. Wichit Chartprisit, and General Manager Toshihiko Niki of Thailand JV. The head of PG, Cho Hyeon-sang, and President of PU Kwon Ki-su thanked everyone who had worked to complete the plant in Thailand, including the employees sent by Hyosung EBARA Engineering. “Let’s work hard together to cement our successful partnership,” they emphasized.
