Power & Industrial Systems PG Selected New Hires from Sudo High School

    On March 16, Principal Kang Hee-tae of
    Sudo Electric Technical High School (hereafter Sudo High School) delivered an appreciation plaque to the Mapo HQ for Hyosung’s selection of new employees among the high school graduates in February 2012. Principal Kang said, “I appreciated Hyosung’s active cooperation including first recruiting our high school graduates since our school was designated as a Meister High School in 2010. I will do my best to educate students to contribute to development of both Hyosung and our high school graduates through cooperative relationships.” In response, Power PU vice president Baek Heung-geon said, “I express my gratitude for sending excellent new recruits. I will make efforts to help them grow as competent technicians in our company. I hope we can continue to promote a win-win strategy through the academic and industrial collaboration between Sudo High School and Hyosung.

    Established in 1924 by the Korea Electronic Power Corporation, Sudo High School is a time-honored and prestigious high school. It was designated as a Meister School by the government in 2010. Power & Industrial Systems PG signed an MOU with the school to foster talented individuals in the fields of energy and power industry in October 2010. Eight new employees from the school graduates were selected in January 2011, and they work in production departments including the design team, the production technology team and the quality management team. This year, four new employees were selected among the high school graduates and will start working in the company after completing two years of military service.

    Power & Industrial Systems PG is reviewing establishment of a special class in the high school so that it can select talented human resources and nurture them as Changwon Plant technicians through consistent partnership with the school.
