Eonyang Plant held Total Operational Performance (TOP) Project kick-off conference on December 22, as vice president Kim Dong-gwang who is in charge of steel wire production and technology supervision and executives and staff members. The TOP project, designed to reduce production costs for establishing sustainable operation system, will be implemented between April and December, 2012, after analyzing the current status of the plant and with goals set by January 12 and detailed measures to achieve the goals established by March 28, 2012.
Vice president Kim stressed the need for active participation, saying, “the TOP activities would serve as an opportunity to revitalize the atmosphere of the plant and overcome the economic crisis.” Participants reaffirmed their resolve for successful TOP activities by chanting the TOP slogan, following the reading of the resolution by Jeong Jong-cheol, deputy dept. head of Saw Wire Manufacturing Department.
