Hyosung Signed an MOU for Education Donation with MEST & Gyeongnam Office of Education, Realize the Corporate Responsibility to Nurture the Future Generations

    On December 19, Vice Chairman Lee Sang Woon concluded an MOU for donation for education at the ceremony attended by Lee Ju-ho, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology and Go Yeong-jin, superintendent of Gyeongnam Province. At the ceremony,
    Education Minister Lee said, “More investment should be made in fostering talent to ensure the nation’s long-term development. Investment in education is one of the important forms of corporate social responsibility, as it helps nurture the next generation. I believe that the spread of a culture of investment in education will form a significant contribution to the nurturing of top class human resources capable of leading Korea’s future.”

    Education Minister Lee stated that “Hyosung Group’s participation in education investment is significant in that it is a company which shows that it takes the initiative in promoting the education development of the entire Gyeongnam region by utilizing its business capacity and capabilities.”

    Taking this opportunity to sign the MOU, Hyosung plans to step up its investment in education. It will expand its existing industrial-educational collaboration with Meister High Schools in Seoul to provide the talented students from Specialized High Schools and Meister High Schools in Gyeongnam region with internship and hiring opportunities. In addition, the company will pursue various education donation activities, including encouraging teachers to participate in overseas volunteer activities using specific technologies to strengthen teaching capacity, and also by allowing students from specialized medical high schools to participate in overseas medical volunteer programs.
