On December 21, Eonyang Plant received a prize for excellence at the “2011 Ulsan Environment Awards.” The awards, established by the Ulsan city in an attempt to improve the negative image of the industrial city, were given to companies which had shown outstanding environmental management performances. The plant has achieved the combined effects of production cost reduction and environment enhancement by promoting consistent investment in eco-friendly management and environmental improvement activities.
