Hyosung Donated Support Fund for Disabled Children and Adolescents from Low-Income Group
On March 28, our company held an event of donating a medical rehabilitation support fund of KRW60 million for disabled children and adolescents from low-income group. Support Division Head Noh Jae-bong and Purme Foundation head Kang Ji-won participated in the event. It was intended to deliver hope for disabled children and adolescents who cannot receive rehabilitation treatment due to financial difficulties, with the upcoming Month of the Disabled in April. This event was organized to give hope for disabled children and adolescents who cannot receive treatment at the right time with financial difficulties despite the anticipated rehabilitation effects by providing them with opportunities to receive treatment and promoting daily life abilities and social activities. Our company donated the support fund to the Purme Foundation, which will provide customized treatment for 6 months with this support fund, such as brain lesions (hospital and intensive rehabilitation), mental retardation (speech therapy, sensory integration therapy), and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (speech therapy, sensory integration therapy). They will select over 22 people for three times with the recommendation of social workers in medical institutions and provide treatment benefits for them. Also, they will provide ‘parent education program’ for parents in medical/psychological/welfare fields. These activities will be published in a leaflet of rehabilitation information, which will be distributed to nationwide parents associations of disabled children and used as an educational material.
