Generals under the Ministry of National Defense of Myanmar Visit the Changwon Plant

General Hla Win and five working-level staff members of Myanmar Defence Industry visited the Changwon Plant on July 30th. This visit was requested by Defence Industry, and they came to check the production site and quality of Hyosung transformers and electronic units that may be supplied to the Myanmar military in the future.
In January and May 2013, the Power Systems PU signed a contract to supply electronic units for 27 transformers and 203 distribution transformers supplied to the plants of the Defence Industry under the Ministry of National Defense of Myanmar. Hyosung has made continuous efforts to secure a premium brand image of Hyosung and Korea in the general military market and the power system market in Myanmar. This contract was made possible by the prompt response of the Distribution Transformer Design Team and Electrical Panel Design Team of the Changwon Plant.
In the Myanmar Defence Industry’s visit, the Changwon Plant focused on publicizing the excellence of the production site in which the products are manufactured. This provided an opportunity to increase the possibility of more orders for Hyosung’s distribution transformers and electronic units when building plants related to the Myanmar military. The Power Systems PU will continue to publicize quality in the Myanmar’s market and increase the brand awareness of Hyosung products.
