Hyosung Receives ‘National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee Chairman’s Award’ in the 1st Korea Happiness Sharing Social Contribution Award

Our company received the ‘National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee Chairman’s Award’ for Children and Teenagers Sector in the 1st Korea Happiness Sharing Social Contribution Award held on July 25th, in recognition of the contribution of the Changwon Plant in participating in ‘Junior Engineering Class’ and ‘Education Donation Exhibition.’
The Changwon Plant has offered Junior Engineering Class for 5th and 6th graders of Naedong Elementary School twice a year (April, October) since 2004 for the students to have interest in and enjoy science. The engineering experts of the plant teach the children by making experimental models in fields they consider difficult. Our company is also participating in annual exhibitions after signing an MOU with the Ministry of Education in 2011 for donation of education, introducing Hyosung products to children and helping them feel and accept science on their own.
Held for the first time this year, this event was prepared to discover and introduce good cases of companies and institutions that contribute to encouraging and spreading social contribution projects to promote a sharing culture. The awards ceremony was hosted by EDAILY and EDAILY TV and sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Health and Welfare Committee of the National Assembly. It ended in great success at the auditorium of the National Assembly Library in Yeouido with over 100 participants.
Hyosung will continue to actively take the initiative in helping children and teenagers as well as the socially disadvantaged, the disabled, senior citizens, and families with multiple children.
