The Eoyang Plant implemented a planned power cut on June 19 to prevent power failure incidents by replacing worn-out parts of the power supply and distribution facilities and enhance productivity by complementing process equipment including plumbing and main cables of dry-type drawing machines. During the planned power cut, a briefing session was held to explain management status of the plant to main, day and night shift workers and encourage the employees to join efforts to develop customer-oriented products and secure top quality and cost competitiveness despite the difficult business environment. Also, the plant carried out safety education consisting of preventing electric shock incidents during the rainy season and health management of employees associated with exposure to hazardous chemicals, along with environment cleanup activities and the 5S campaign to clean up filth and remove weeds around the plant and surrounding areas.
