Non-smoking campaign at Galaxia Electronics

Galaxia Electronics launched a 3-month non-smoking campaign between February 21th to May 20th, and so far 7 employees have written and signed declarations to quit smoking. To motivate participation in the campaign, a non-smoking trust was set up by deducting \100,000 from the paychecks of participating employees, which was matched by the company to double the funds. At the beginning many seemed to have successfully quit smoking, but sadly one by one they started to give in again. At the end of the non-smoking period only one person became a ‘successful quitter,’ and won the admiration of many colleagues.
